Today's architectural trends, which use an increasing amount of glass, are leading to a diversified demand in laminated glass. While safety and security remain important, aesthetics, design, and view control are also demanded as functions of glass.

S-LEC SEF is an EVA-type laminated glass interlayer film. It is distinctive in that it gives glass high design properties to match today's architectural needs.

Bonds well with other materials.

S-LEC SEF bonds especially well to PET, and because it is plasticizer-free, it can be used with plastics such as polycarbonate. The film can also be combined with many different materials to give laminated glass a wide variety of design possibilities, including Japanese paper, metal mesh, solar cell modules, LCD, and color PVB.

Bonding Condition of EN Film
Vacuum condition 700mmHg or more
Bonding temperature 100°C or more
Heating time 10 minutes

Workability is an important merit.

In a vacuum, S-LEC SEF can be bonded at 95oC, a relatively low temperature.. Moreover, the bonding is carried out without an autoclave or other bulky equipment. While it bonds well with PET and other materials, self-adhesion at room temperature is controlled, and calls for no covering paper-making the sheets easy to handle and enhancing the productivity.

Excellent safety, security, and UV filtering properties

Glass with S-LEC SEF is even harder to shatter than glass with PVB interlayer film. Glass with PET is as strong as PVP film and similar materials, while security is enhanced even further with polycarbonate. S-LEC SEF also filters out more than 99% of ultraviolet rays for your peace of mind.

Penetration Resistance of EN Film

Ball Drop Test (JIS R 3212)
The test checks penetration status of a 300m*300mm laminated glass after a ball 2260g in weight,
82mm in diameter is dropped on its center. (At 23°C)
